The Bambi-Award and the B&B


look at that!!!

isn't it just so incredibly super-cute?!!!

I saw it on Kati's blog


Anyway, she shall be the first one to get the following award and of course Brother Tim, who I know will just love it and think of cute Wally right away...


And that's the award. I have received the Bambi-Award from Brad some time ago, just didn't have the time to hand it out, but there it is!

Now why am I posting this here?!

ER ERINNERT MICH SEHR AN UNSER VORHERGEHENDES B&B, WO DIE REHE GANZ DICHT ANS HAUS KAMEN...

It's because it fits very well! we used to have a B&B on Funen (picture below)
and in the winter time all the deer would come very close to the house in order to eat the old apples from the ground or the chest nuts on the other side of the house.

I remember one Chistmas ... watching them through the blinds and they were maybe just two or three metres away. they couldn't hear any sound, but they did spot me through the almost close blinds. Interesting, isn't it?!
Would have to look through too many files to find pics of them, but here is one of the house an the fruitgarden in front of it which they just loved!


Anyway, no awards-post without passing them on, right?!

    We have hedgehogs in our gardn and hedge, but we have never seen their babies :)

    What a so totally adorable pic...almost looks like a minature "Bambi". When people ever ask me my favorite movies I always mention the Disney movie "Bambi"..I will always love it.

    During the years I was married we lived in a house on the top of a hill on 15 acres. As time went on I got to know all the deer that would come down to eat and "Greet" and hang out with me. I could get real close. I had names for all of them and would welcome the new babies. The leaer was a female and I named her "Domi" as she ran the show. I still miss her till this day and "Belle" and "Sider" and all of them. It's funny they would run whenever my husband would come around or come out to see them. Their connection was only with me.

    Thank you for the sweet Bambi award..it definitely fits me..

    This is so cute...but what is it? Ok, just saw where Brad calls it a hedgehog. I thought it might be a baby porcupine! Guess not, huh?

    Thanks so much Sarah! I LOVE hedgehogs! Although I've never had one, I'm cerain I will before I die. They say they make wonderful pets.....errrr family members. :)

    deers on the picture. What a nice memory.
